Ruland uses standard monitoring and measuring equipment as well as visual aids to ensure compliance with documented standards. Machine Operators must possess good math skills and the ability to make routine program and mechanical adjustments to maintain quality. When parts produced do not match Ruland standards it is the Machine Operator's responsibility to work with the supervisor to determine if the part can be reworked or scrapped.
Ruland is a high mix, small to medium run-size production environment with schedules that can change daily depending on customer orders and need. The Machine Operator must be flexible and willing to adapt to these changing schedules. Strong organizational skills are required which include keeping a tidy work area, understanding of what parts are running on each machine, having blanks prepped to be run, and attention to detail with inspection sheets.
Ruland puts a high priority on keeping a safe work environment and is compliant with OSHA requirements. Safety recommendations are encouraged by all team members to prevent potential injury. Ruland celebrates safety milestones of no injuries with a company party.
