Job description

PTMW, Inc is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our pre-fabrication (PFAB) team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specified blueprints and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position working Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. in a climate controlled facility.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine setup and specifications.
Set up and operate CNC and manual hydraulic press brake machines to bend, punch, notch, and form metal sheets and plates.
Select and install appropriate tooling and dies based on job requirements.
Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to customer requirements and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
Make adjustments to machine settings to correct errors or improve product quality.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Quality mindset and self-motivated
Strong attention to detail
Capable of lifting up to 75lbs
Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity & and breath alcohol test.

Preferred Qualification:

Technical Certificate or Degree in Machine/Tool Technology or related field.
Experience working with aluminum and steel sheet metal fabrication
Experience programing a press brake
Strong computer skills
Experience with CAD/CAM
Quality mindset and self-motivated
Demonstrated knowledge & proper use of measuring devices such as calipers, square, protractor and reading a machinist scale
