SCHLENK is excited to offer new entry level positions to train as machine operators in our established web coating manufacturing unit. A comprehensive training program will be provided on our sophisticated high speed production equipment, with training expected to take between 3 and 6 months, depending on previous industrial experience.
 
This is a full-time position, in a 12-Hour Rotating Shift pattern depending on production requirements.   
 
Machine Operators work in manufacturing and warehouse environments and must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.  SCHLENK has a Safety-First work culture. Appropriate PPE must be worn, and proper safety procedures including grounding and bonding must be learned and adhered to due to the following hazards in the workplace: flammable liquids and solids, high speed rotating equipment, organic chemical solvents, pallet jacks, lift trucks, and large industrial machinery.
 
 
Key Job Duties:
  • Operation of various high tech manufacturing equipment
  • General housekeeping of manufacturing areas and warehouse
  • Adhere to all safety policies while actively promoting safe work practices
 
Qualifications:
·        High School diploma or GED
·        Strong basic math skills
·        Prior mechanical experience is beneficial
·        Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
·        Good visual observation skills 
·        Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Word)
