Job description

Join our roadway construction team as a Thermoplastic Machine Operator, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pavement markings for public and private roadways. This position offers the opportunity to work with a skilled crew, operate specialized thermoplastic striping equipment, and contribute to safe and efficient transportation infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Operate thermoplastic striping equipment, including ride-on machines and melting systems, to apply roadway markings
  • Lead or support daily crew operations, including job sequencing and on-site decision-making
  • Ensure proper handling of thermoplastic materials, including monitoring melting temperatures and application thickness
  • Perform layout for lines, arrows, legends, crosswalks, and intersection markings according to project specifications
  • Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and contractors to complete projects on schedule
  • Follow all applicable MUTCD, state, and local roadway marking standards
