Description
The Clinic Medical Assistant assists with direct patient care activities as directed by the LPN, RN, Nurse Practitioner, or Staff Physician. Assists with medical procedures and diagnostic tests as appropriate based on level of training. Performs clerical and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • One year of work experience in a specialty field preferred, ideally in a medical office setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
  • Proficiency in word processing and general computer applications.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current Limited X-Ray Machine Operator Permit issued by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure preferred.
