Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the pick-up, delivery and stocking of various materials throughout the campus using PIV equipment or manual transportation. Various forms of technology are used including but not limited to scanners, PC and tablets. The objective of the position is to ensure that all areas have the appropriate supplies needed for assembly at the proper time, while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operates various forms of PIV equipment to receive, deliver and store supplies
• Obtains work order to determine parts needed and delivery location
• Retrieves sub-assemblies and parts from storage locations
• Loads carts with required parts
• Stages completed carts in designated location
• Uses a scanner and/or tablet to manage transactions, transfer parts, perform inventory inquiries, maintenance counts, report outages
• Returns unused parts, empty containers, empty carts to designated storage/replenishment location
• Moves completed assemblies or boxed furniture into designated locations
• Follows health and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean workplace following 5S standards
• Performs other tasks as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic math knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to scan effectively to maintain accurate inventory levels
• Achieve performance standards
• Maintain PIV license as needed
