Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for set up and operating prepack machine on the production floor, bringing in proper packaging material and changing film rolls.  Must endure accurate completion of checklists and complete visual inspections for cleanliness and foreign material contact management if needed.  Must be willing to accept responsibility and accountability for ensuring that proper procedures are followed. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Employee must become proficient in the operation of the prepack machine.  Must inspect prepack machine and line, and all associated machinery to ensure cleanliness.  Employee will be responsible for adjusting machinery as needed for production runs. Employee must be certified to use a power jack to move the refers and supplies. Employee must be able to ensure all proper safety measures are being used. Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  All employees are required to be in full uniform to include bouffant cap, beard cover (as applicable), safety glasses and gloves.  Hearing protection is required.  Employee schedules will be 6:00 am to downtime or as required by production management. 

COMPETENCIES: All employees are required to attend weekly safety meetings and will receive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training specific to their job function as per the HACCP/GMP Manual.
