Job Title: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Job Description

This role operates production machinery in a small manufacturing facility that produces bubble wrap and reflective wrap used in construction and packaging applications. You will load bulk materials, monitor and adjust machine settings, and use measuring instruments to ensure products meet precise specifications. This position works on 2nd shift and requires comfort working in a hot environment and handling physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manually load bulk material into production machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments to speed and temperature settings to maintain product quality.
  • Use thickness gauges and other quality instruments to verify that products meet client specifications.
  • Follow work instructions and production guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate output.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and surrounding production space.
  • Support packaging of finished products as needed to meet production goals.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints or diagrams related to machine setup or product requirements.
  • Use hand tools and related equipment to assist with machine operation and minor adjustments.
  • Perform general labor tasks associated with machine operation and production as assigned.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Work safely in a hot manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Be available for overtime, including occasional Saturday work, based on production demands.
