CNC Machine Operator Overview: 

Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator and unleash your skills in fabricating precision parts that shape our world! As you tend to the cutting, shaping, and bending of structural plates, you'll play a pivotal role in our operations. This role isn't just about machinery-it's safety-sensitive, highlighting the critical importance of your work in safeguarding the well-being of our team and the public. Your attention to detail and expertise will ensure top-quality production while prioritizing safety at every turn.

CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Programs CNC machine to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. These CNC Machines include Burn Table, Angle/Beam Line, Wheel-a-brator and Coper.
  • Load CAD drawn CNC programs with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
  • Load and unload structural steel from machine with overhead crane.
  • Remove burrs from parts. Clear scrap shavings and debris from machine when required.
  • Package parts for delivery or pick up.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

CNC Machine Operator Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of three months' related experience and/or training. 
  • Ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings. 
  • Ability to perform basic math functions. 
  • Good oral/written communication skills. 
  • Basic computer skills.

CNC Machine Operator Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. frequently 
  • Considerable amounts of standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.  
  • Exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.  
  • Exposed to temperature fluctuations and a noisy work environment.   

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
