Job Description

PURPOSE: To operate and adjust reprocessing line and material processing equipment to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality. Ensures that assigned lines are running in accordance with all safety procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with team leader towards ensuring that production (95 MEFF and 105 EFF) and quality goals are attained. Works safely and reports any safety hazards or acts to the Team Leader. Assist Team Leaders and maintenance with repairs made to lines and equipment reliability. Performs proper extruder start up and shut down procedures. Can identify scrap types, contaminants, and the effect on the finished product. Moves materials to lines as needed and stages finished product for weighing. Assists in training other machine operators. Ensures that all quality checks are being completed. Monitors extruder readings periodically throughout shift. Works with Team Leader and other operators regarding blending techniques with scrap materials. Conduct product changeovers according to production schedules. Maintain housekeeping in area at all times to 5-S standards. Make recommendation on necessary repairs or improvements. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED, preferred.

2. Experience in a team-work oriented environment.

Working knowledge of extrusion equipment and process desired. Mechanical knowledge desired. Requires fork-lift licensing. Basic PC knowledge is desired. Basic mathematical abilities. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
