Requirements:

Fitesa operators are crucial to our success. The attention to detail and quality standards must be maintained at all times. Additional responsibilities of the role:

  • Follow all Site Safety Rules
  • Perform Line Start-Up, Shut-Down and Shift Cleanup.
  • Communicate with off-going and on-coming operators to ensure proper hand-off.
  • Use quality data results to make adjustments to process conditions.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment within the specified limits of the appropriate center line.
  • Monitor, verify and change process conditions to comply with centerlines.
  • Operate and monitor the right setups for the machines assigned.
  • Assist with installation of innovated process and teamwork with process engineers to improve operations.
  • Perform troubleshooting of Extrusion, Slitting or Recycling lines.
  • Assist other team members, as needed, and perform all other duties as assigned.

Behavioral Competencies Required:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimal amount of daily supervision.
  • Ability to work well with all departments and members of the plant to accomplish the objectives assigned.
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts, as needed.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing / Assembly experience
  • 3+ years in a Manufacturing environment with prior experience in Extrusion or Injection Molding highly preferred.
  • Non-Woven Experience a plus.
