Job description

Summary


The Warehouse Materials Handler ensures department cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.  The Warehouse Materials Handler ensures the accurate recording of data. The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Listen and follow the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members
  • Assist with the physical organization of inventory
  • Return inventory items to the proper locations
  • Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production

Requirements

  • Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite to employment
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Able to write and do basic math
  • Basic computer skills or willing to learn
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to work well with others

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand on feet wearing safety boots from 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, and bend frequently
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
