Job description

The Greer Group is seeking dependable and motivated Machine Operators to join our client’s manufacturing team in Sanford, NC! These positions support daily production operations and may include assembly, machine operation, quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.


Successful candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, following established procedures, meeting production goals, and working as part of a team.


Previous manufacturing experience of 1 - 2 years is ideal, but may not be required for all positions.


After the probationary period, compensation increases to $22.13/hour with Benefits!


Available Positions & Schedules:


C Shift

  • Friday-Sunday, 6:30am-6:30pm.
  • Must be available to train on A shift for 2 weeks. A shift is Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm.


D Shift

  • Friday-Sunday, 6:30pm-6:30am
  • Must be available to train on A shift for 2 weeks. A shift is Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm.



Job Description

  • Operate semi-complex equipment and machines, prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency and adjusting multiple related variables to resolve production problems.
  • Carry out TPM checks and activities following close instructions.
  • Perform inspection of finished products for any defects or issues.
  • Repetitive movement involved to carry out changeovers of one or more equipment.
  • Reading blueprints to follow directions.
  • Adjusting machinery to meet standards.
  • Identify machine issues, and perform light maintenance.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in machinery or manufacturing.
  • Must be ok with working in a unconditioned temperature.
  • Ok with lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive movement, and long periods of standing.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must provide proof of education (GED).
