Summary:
The Extrusion Operator (Tape) will perform duties in the extrusion department that focuses on the operation of extruders to produce quality products in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Sprinturf standards. The Lead Operator will work closely with the Shift Supervisor to build a team focusing on Safety, Quality, and Production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position are listed below. They include but are not limited to the following.
  • Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture
  • Working with the Lead Operator to hold standards such as
  • Quality standards, Run time efficiency, Reduction of waste, Reduction of change over time Run time efficiency.
  • New Operator Training.
  • Operator Accountability.
  • Perform checks on lines in operation during shift to ensure setting and reading are correct.
  • Identify the equipment and components of the extrusion line.
  • Identify e-stops and when to use them.
  • Ability to perform proper shutdown procedure.
  • Ability to understand the downstream equipment and the proper operation of the equipment.
  • Understand the proper operation of the dosing system.
  • Keep area and line free of any debris and/or waste.
  • Identify material needed for the line and where it is staged.
  • Issue and return material to line using NetSuite system.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues with machine and/or material.
  • Follows all safety regulations
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor and Lead Operator
