Machine Operator I

Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Overtime is available. Schedule may fluctuate based on production needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator I to support production operations by safely and efficiently operating burn table equipment and related tools. This position focuses on cutting and shaping metal parts while also assisting with general production and welding support tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate burn tables and related machinery to safely and efficiently cut and shape metal plates and parts
  • Follow work instructions and established production processes to meet quality and output standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Utilize equipment and tools including plasma burn tables, O2/fuel torches, grinders, scrapers, tape measures, and calipers
  • Perform basic math calculations, including fractions and decimals
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials
  • Complete minor equipment maintenance, including torch head part changes and basic program adjustments
  • Weigh materials and finished parts to ensure proper handling
  • Use basic computer systems to download programs and track production
  • Clean and de-burr materials as needed
  • Perform daily equipment checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Assist team members and support general production needs as required
  • Recommend improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Heavy industrial or construction experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to workplace safety

Physical Requirements
