TITLE: SAW OPERATOR-3rd Shift

REPORTS TO: Area Coordinator Trainee

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Effectively promotes teamwork in the department. Coordinates with production management in regard to daily production goals, efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and training of co-workers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND DAILY TASKS

  • The saw is one that you feed and make adjustments based on requested dimensions. A catcher checks quality and the operator feeds the machine. The candidate will be cross trained for both

  • Operates, sets up, performs maintenance of saw assigned.

  • Inspect finished products for quality.

  • Production reporting is clean, accurate, and legible.

  • Understands and observes all safety policies and procedures.

  • Interprets job orders assigned.

  • Operates equipment related to these activities and trains workers in equipment operation.

  • Reports work progress to Production Management.

  • Coordinates with general laborers.

  • Performs other duties as required by management.

COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced knowledge of the operation of all machinery and equipment used within primary job duty.

  • Maintains certification to operate equipment if so required.

  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities.

  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.

  • 90% of work to be performed in an outdoor environment subject weather, noise, and dust.

  • Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematics.
