Job description

Forklift Operator

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to load/unload materials and move packages/material around our facility.

You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

This role will report to the Inventory Supervisor in Ogden, UT. FridayMonday, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned areas.
  • Load outgoing materials and products.
  • Transport raw materials to production/shipping areas.
  • Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas as needed.
  • Identify and label materials and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move components or products.
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs
  • Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
  • Clean up warehouse floor (pallets, cardboard, plastic, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate forklifts.
  • Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently with little guidance and stay on task.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, and crouch.
  • Frequently required to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to maintain body balance while ascending or descending the forklift, and to maintain body equilibrium while bending at the waist or at the knees.
  • Ascending and/or descending from the forklift throughout the shift will be constant and routine.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position works in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Temperatures vary with outdoor conditions and may be hot in summer and cold in winter.
