We are currently hiring a Automatic Press Operator for the 1st Shift. The wage is based on experience and starts between $18.00-$24.00/HR. The hours are 6:00 am-4:30 pm Monday through Thursday,with opportunities for overtime pay.

Job Description
The Automatic Press Operator is responsible for setting up and/or operating automatically fed machinery in support of production strategies and goals to maximize the profits to the company by improving efficiencies. It actively seeks opportunities for improvement to ensure maximum company performance. It works with other team members to create and maintain a safe, organized working environment/culture that meets/exceeds MAT HD-Rome facility standards and customer expectations.
Principle Responsibilities
  • Operates equipment in the most efficient manner possible, constantly seeking new improvements to increase production and quality levels.
  • Troubleshoots equipment when any errors occur to find the cause of the problem and to seek ways to prevent the error from reoccurring. Performs routine daily maintenance.
  • Proactively monitors production to ensure quality levels remain at the highest possible.
  • Performs all quality inspections of parts during production and immediately seeks to correct any issues found.
  • Performs all setup and changeover processes in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Proactively makes adjustments to feeds to assure highest quality part production at minimal scrap level
  • Continuously seeks new production methods to increase efficiencies, safety, and quality while reducing costs.
  • Constantly assures that all equipment used in production are operating in the safest manner possible.
  • Keep the equipment and work area as orderly and clean as possible to aid future production; ensures that the work area is spotless and ready for the next operator at the end of the shift.
  • Additional duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in stamping manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts.
  • Must be able to take and follow direction from management.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
