About the Experienced Lithographic Press Operator Role:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the machine
  • Responsible for insuring printing process provides conforming product with a minimal amount of waste
  • The candidate will lead and coordinate efforts of the Press crew.
  • Maintain machine center at an acceptable level of housekeeping.
  • Inputs production information
  • Performs set up verification checklist
  • Performs and oversees preventative maintenance responsibilities of operating personnel
  • Performs and oversees sampling plan in accordance to requirements
  • Communicate needs, obstacles, and direction to those who need the information
Qualifications that are required for this job include:
  • Must be knowledgeable in all normal box plant skills including but not limited to reading hard cards, accurate production reporting, reading and using tape measure, use of calipers and micrometers.
  • Must have knowledge of console and printing press and be able to operate safely and productively.
  • Must be able to lead crew in all aspects of work center operations.
  • Must possess basic computer skills, have the ability to perform mathematical problems relative to job functions, and possess problem solving skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
