Position Facility: Watertown

Position Overview

Pay Rate: $24.93/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium 

Hours: 2:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday Friday (Overtime as production demands).


Your contribution will ensure that Johnsonville products are of the highest quality and meet our defined standards of safety.  You'll learn about a variety of line processes, expanding your existing knowledge for application into the business of making sausage.  There is unlimited opportunity for growth as you become an active contributor to the Finished Goods Line Team and assist your team in the quest for continual improvement.

Responsibilities

   Operate and learn different machines/positions on the line which may include:
      o    Labeler
      o    Wrapping Machine operator
      o    Case packing operator
      o    Quality Enhancement Specialist
      o    Casings
      o    Meat Delivery 
      o    Stuffing operator
      o    Traying
      o    Line Support
   Proper set up and teardown of equipment
   Accurately perform SAP transactions in regards to job duties
   Take ownership for your personal safety and the safety of all Members working around you

Experience

   Machine Operator background preferred
   Ability to obtain forklift certification and maintain a good safety record if job duties require a forklift
   SAP experience preferred but not required

Skills

   Basic Mechanical skills /aptitude necessary for equipment set up and operation
   In depth knowledge of equipment functions and the ability to assist in troubleshooting
   Ability to read and understand a production schedule
   Identify and resolve potential problems 
   Ability to work independently without direct supervision
   Must have desire to learn and grow and share information with fellow Members
   Willingness to continuously improve performance and job knowledge
   Excellent prioritization skills
   Must have a very keen eye for visual inspection purposes and a strong attention to detail as it relates to product quality
   Excellent attendance and performance record
   Proactive team player, dependable and detail oriented
   Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
   Must be able to read/write and complete production documentation accurately
   Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Physical Demands:
   Must be able to hand grip up to 50 lbs, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs
   Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift
   Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shift
   Willingness to work in cold conditions

Other Requirements

   Must be at least 18 years old
    Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
