  • Model CandyCo’s safety, GMP, and Food Safety culture in all interactions.
  • Proactively coach employees to improve quality, efficiency, and work habits.
  • Escalate performance or behavior concerns to Supervisor when needed.

Production Operations

  • Identify and resolve minor production issues; escalate equipment concerns to Maintenance.
  • Ensure proper labeling, lot codes, traceability, and documentation compliance.

Sanitation & Cleaning Oversight

  • Lead and verify cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, wiping, and equipment-area cleaning.
  • Oversee scheduled sanitation (including Level 3–4 cleans requiring up to 8 hours).
  • Train Production Workers on correct sanitation procedures, PPE, and chemical-handling expectations.
  • Conduct pre-op and post-op checks for cleanliness, safety, and readiness.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all employees wear correct PPE at all times (hairnet, gloves, non-slip shoes, etc.).
  • Maintain a hazard-free work area; remove debris and address spills immediately.
  • Enforce lockout/tagout, safety guards, and restricted areas as required.

  • Report material shortages, deviations, or line issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Lead, Machine Operator, or higher-level production role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate hourly employees.
  • Excellent understanding of product specs, quality standards, and GMPs.
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain sense of urgency on scheduled orders.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, ROSS, PLEX, or similar ERP/IMS systems is a plus (or ability to learn quickly).

Working conditions

  • Must be able to work any and all shifts as directed.

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures.
