Job description

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator Level 2. The successful candidate will be trained to operate electron beam melting equipment and a variety of machinery, including metal shear and metal chopping piranhas. This position requires a solid background in a manufacturing environment and offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in operating advanced melting equipment.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Fombell, PA location.ย 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate electron beam operating systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any operational issues, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Monitor production flow and communicate any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Vacuum leak checking systems for leaks with helium and helium detectors.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and reports, documenting any incidents or machine malfunctions.
  • Diagnose machine faults, perform routine preventative maintenance, and maintain strict safety and hazard compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production goals and maintain a team-oriented environment.
  • Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety practices.

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in helium testing and or maintenance work.
  • Understanding of metallurgy, mechanical design, and vacuum system mechanics.
  • Capability to work in both hot and cold environments as needed.
  • Must be open to working rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required

Compensation:
