Job description

Responsible for operating and maintaining corporate high speed printers, mail inserters and peripheral equipment
Our Print to Mail area is responsible for overseeing the running of print jobs from batch computer systems. Print output includes billing statements, policy documents and other important materials. Our team is responsible for ensuring that the machines are operating correctly, and that the output meets quality expectations.
This position will be located on-site at the Sentry Home Office in Stevens Point, WI and will be regularly scheduled to work Part-Time Less Than 20 Hours a week.
What You'll Do
As a Print to Mail Operator I, you will:
  • Assist in operating the control console of high speed printers in accordance with operating instructions, to process data. Assist in responding to operating and computer output instructions. May assist in using, monitoring and modifying the inserter setups to process the daily work on the inserting machines. May access the reprint facility to reproduce damaged material for prompt turn around on time sensitive material.
  • Operate Print to Mail equipment. May issue computer commands to control printer and insert operations. May be required to make adjustments to ensure the machinery runs smoothly and correctly. Assist in setting up forms as needed. Confers with supervisors or more senior associates to determine appropriate actions during a run. Refer more complicated problems to supervisor.
  • Assists in piece level reconciliation of inserter jobs by accurately utilizing inserter item reconciliation software.
  • Participate in quality control on all jobs, assuring they are completed in accordance with instructions. Refers more complicated problems to supervisor.
  • Assists in the coordinated effort to meet all established Print to Mail service level agreements daily
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience, with preferred experience in print-to-mail operations
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately within time deadlines is required,
  • Ability to follow specific procedures is required
  • Knowledge of postal costs and discounts is helpful.
  • Effective communication and human relations skills are beneficial.
  • Able to control the inertia of a 1,000 pound roll of paper
  • Must be available and flexible to work varied work weeks and hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Required wardrobe: Steel toe shoes
