Machine Operator II – Plastic Extrusion
Chester Springs, PA
$20–$26/hr | Temp-to-Hire
1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator for its Chester Springs, PA facility. This is a hands-on, technically advanced role responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, die changeovers, and operating multiple extrusion lines with minimal supervision.

This is NOT an entry-level production role. Candidates must have prior plastic extrusion experience and strong troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate plastic extrusion machinery
  • Perform die changeovers and machine adjustments
  • Adjust machine parameters including temperature, speed, and pressure
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues in real time
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment checks
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Use precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers
  • Maintain safe and clean work areas following 6S standards

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of plastic extrusion machine operation experience required
  • Hands-on setup and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience performing die changeovers independently
  • Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
  • Blueprint and technical drawing reading experience
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hour shifts
