Machine Operator

Shift: 1st/ 2nd Shift

Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication equipment used in the production of shelter components. This position is responsible for producing quality parts while following blueprints, work instructions, and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment and machinery
  • Read and follow blueprints, routings, and work instructions
  • Perform cutting, drilling, punching, forming, grinding, and deburring operations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, cranes, and forklifts as needed
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist with building and repairing fixtures, jigs, and shop aids
  • Move materials and load/unload parts as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
