Job description

DC Fabricators Inc. is the leader in the design, technology and manufacturing of steam condensers and heat exchangers that support the US Navy Submarine, Aircraft Carrier and other programs. Our facility specializes in corrosion resistant alloy and dissimilar metal fabrications. DCF has an extensive history of excellent performance in development, design and manufacturing, meeting the critical requirements of the US Navy for the prime contractors and shipyards.
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at DC Fabricators Inc. in Florence, NJ. This position is responsible for operating various pieces of machinery such as a radial drill, lathe, VBM, HBM, tool/cutter grinder, and other technical and standard equipment.
Hours:
3:30 pm - 12:00 am
Responsibilities for the Machine Operator:
  • Assist operators and machinist perform work in the machine shop.
  • Operate vertical and horizontal boring machines.
  • Operate lathes and mills (example, BridgePort Machine).
  • Operate tool cutting, grinding and sharpening equipment.
  • Operate saw, grinders and other tools.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Vocational/Trade School diploma or other related post-high school education desirable.
Must have at least three (3) years of relevant machining experience.
Proficient computer skills required.

Other Skills amp; Abilities:
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must be able to use the measuring instruments of the trade (micrometers, scales, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Must have knowledge of metal properties and other material.
  • Must have mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
