Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30-3 pm

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating lathes, slotting machines, and related production equipment to manufacture products that meet customer specifications. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and a commitment to producing quality products in a safe manufacturing environment.


Essential ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
  • Operate lathes, slotting machines, and other production equipment.
  • Read job orders and production instructions to determine product specifications and operating requirements.
  • Position and secure workpieces, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Adjust machine controls to establish proper feeds, speeds, and cutting depths.
  • Operate machine controls and handwheels to perform machining operations.
  • Direct coolant, cutting oil, or air flow as required during production.
Quality & Inspection
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Verify parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or production discrepancies to supervision.
Safety & Housekeeping
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Practice safe operation of machinery and equipment at all times.

QualificationsRequired
