Machine Operator – Direct Hire

Location: West Chester, PA
Pay: $23.00–$25.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift: 12-hour rotating schedule (2-2-3 rotation; includes every other weekend)

We are hiring a skilled Direct Hire Machine Operator for a high-quality manufacturing environment in West Chester, PA. This is a permanent position with the company from day one. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machine operation experience in a production setting and a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Perform machine setup, startup, shutdown, and changeovers to standard.

  • Complete assembly, loading, in-process checks (IPCs), and packing activities.

  • Replenish materials and follow production schedules.

  • Perform routine troubleshooting and jam clearance.

  • Execute CIL (clean, inspect, lubricate) and preventive maintenance tasks.

  • Accurately record production data in tracking systems.

  • Identify defects, losses, and inefficiencies; support corrective actions.

  • Participate in Lean manufacturing practices (5S, TPM, OEE).

  • Support shift handovers, planned stops, and daily production meetings.

  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members as needed.

  • Escalate operational or quality issues in a timely manner.

  • Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.

  • Prior machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, OEE, or similar systems strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven production environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accountability for output quality.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including 12-hour shifts.

  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate machinery and tools.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
