Company Description ProtecPV is a specialized manufacturer of EVA, POE, and EPE encapsulants used in photovoltaic modules. We're launching our new factory in Texas, and are actively looking to fill a number of roles before we begin production.

Role Description The Machine Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, Texas.

The candidate has the responsibility to ensure consistent uptime of all production equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform all mechanical, electrical and control systems duties as required
  • Assess and proactively predict the operational state of equipment, filters, oil, hydraulics, compressors, motors, pumps, plumbing and electrical systems and determine course of immediate and future action as needed to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
  • Install and setup dies, melt pumps and screws on all extruders with minimal supervision.
  • Complete welding and fabrication work as needed, process repairs, improvements, and capital projects.
  • Make shift rounds at a minimum of twice per shift to inspect Air Compressors, Chillers, Water Pumps, Blender Systems, Extrusion Equipment; Air, Water, and Electrical Systems and other Operation-Critical Equipment to insure functionality to required operational standards.
  • Resolve problems with equipment, leaks, and other deficiencies and take action as needed
  • Help develop and carry out the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Troubleshoot PLC based control systems and make component adjustments and/or repairs.
  • Maintain high level of organization and high standards for housekeeping.
  • Make suggestions for improvements to safety, efficiency, and costs to management.
  • Skill and ability to train other maintenance and production associates in total productive maintenance activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Availability to work overtime as required
  • 2 yearsโ€™ experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma Technical Degree preferred
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills

Physical Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • Walk and climb stairs
  • Lots of overhead work and high temperature near certain equipment
  • Stretch and reach with arms extended
  • Stoop and bend
  • Regularly lift up to 75 pounds and in excess of 100 pounds with assistance
  • Temperature, dust, smell and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
