In this role, the Industrial Technologies Engineer will initiate and lead improvements to enable data driven decisions and automated analysis/predictions. The engineer will drive digitization throughout the company via machine learning, data analysis/collection, and MES/MOM support. This position reports to the Senior Industrial Technologies Manager and supports work across Global Engineering. Domestic and international travel is required, approximately 25-35%.
Responsibilities
• Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Application Management and Support of server applications/solutions. This includes distributed automation control applications, data archiving, automation software applications, virtual server control, application database and reporting tools. Relevant platforms include Ignition (Inductive Automation), Siemens, Rockwell Automation, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
• Use high-level programming languages to implement machine communication, perform data analysis, automate tasks, and support the organization as needed. Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) for workflow automation is a plus.
• Collect manufacturing/process data for use in predictive modeling to track machine health, product performance, etc.
• Pro-actively seek out losses and improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing plants.
• Follow and leverage the proper engineering and project management tools and work processes.
• Able to apply math, science, and other engineering knowledge to solve real world problems and develop robust technical solutions.

Qualifications
• B.S. in Engineering with preferences for Computer or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management, or Computer Science. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience is preferred; however, exceptional entry-level candidates will be considered.
• Preferred but not required:
o Experience in a Network or IT Engineering position.
o Experience with various ML learning techniques including neural networks, clustering, and classification.
o Experience with automated controls technologies is beneficial but not required. This may include PLC systems (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley), SCADA, control networks, PC-based integration software such as Ignition by Inductive Automation, VFD and servo drives, robotics, vision systems, or advanced instrumentation.
