Job description

Role: Engraver

Location: Pulaski, WI

Duration: Full Time

 The Position

  • An Engraver is responsible for engraving embossed and specialty rolls and proficient operation of engraving machines.

 

Requirements

  • Promote a safe working environment. Identify and demonstrate use of machine safety and personal protection equipment. Demonstrate compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements and guidelines.
  • Understand layout sheets and specifications. Read blueprints.
  • Operate and be proficient in the operation of engraving machines.
  • Make required machine/roll setups.
  • Utilize close-tolerance measuring instruments. Proficient in performing complicated and diversified work to close tolerances with a minimum of errors.
  • Accurately record detailed roll data.
  • Transport parts or rolls on transport dollies and/or safe forklift operation. Lift and safely position workpieces with hoists and secure them on machines.
  • Perform assigned duties in a timely fashion or time allotted.
  • Miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Gemba.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of basic PC operation and use for timekeeping.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment with competing demands and frequent changes.
  • Ability to stand or walk for an 8–10-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
