Job description

Position Title: Machine Operator โ€“CNC Mill

Department: Machine Shop

Location: Fenton, MO

Reports To: Machine Shop Supervisor

Classification: Hourly โ€“ Non-Exempt

Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:15pm - 1:15am

Position Summary: This position will operate various Hass and Mazak milling machines simultaneously and perform minor setups. They will use calipers, dial indicators, and fixed gauges to test metal parts to ensure quality. Requirements include but are not limited to: Must be safety and quality conscious, have mechanical aptitude, be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work in an oily environment. PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection are required at all times.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • Basic Math

Desired Experience:

  • Six (6) months machining experience.
  • CNC Mill operation/setup experience a plus.
