Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level M&A Associate to join a leading law firm in Fort Lauderdale. Work on sophisticated domestic and international transactions across industries including healthcare, tech, and financial services.


Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents (purchase agreements, LOIs, merger agreements)
  • Manage due diligence and review corporate and regulatory materials
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (tax, finance, litigation)
  • Support deal execution, closings, and post-closing matters
  • Participate in client communications and strategy discussions

Qualifications

  • 4โ€“6 years of M&A and corporate experience
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
