Schedule:2nd ShiftHours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM12-hour shifts as scheduledPosition Summary:The Yard Goat Driver is responsible for safely moving trailers and containers throughout the yard to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This position requires safe equipment operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.Key Responsibilities:Operate a yard goat (yard jockey/terminal tractor) to move trailers and containers throughout the yardPosition trailers at loading and unloading docks according to operational needsTransport empty and loaded containers safely and efficientlyPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipmentCommunicate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel to coordinate trailer movementsMaintain accurate records of trailer locations and movementsReport equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns to managementFollow all company safety policies, DOT regulations (as applicable), and yard traffic proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work environmentPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Previous experience operating a yard goat, yard jockey, or terminal tractor preferredExperience moving trailers and containers in a warehouse or distribution yardAbility to safely maneuver trailers in tight spacesStrong attention to safety and detailAbility to work 12-hour shifts and in varying weather conditionsGood communication and teamwork skillsReliable attendance and punctualityValid driver's license required; CDL preferred if required by company policy
