Gate Guard Full Time - Anaheim Ca
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Gate Guard this role is critical and Must be an Ambassador of hospitality Our Gate Guard is most often the first and last representative of Ganahl Lumber that our customers will have the pleasure of coming in contact with. This means that you are our first impression as well as our last chance to provide hospitality. All entering vehicles will be greeted and an offer of service will be provided. The vast majority of our customers come to our yards on a regular basis.
Full-time availability Monday through Saturday is required.
Key responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Greet all customers promptly and professionally
• Communicate clearly with yard staff and departments for pickups and special orders
• Direct customers to appropriate departments (lumber, tools, paint, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, organized Guard Shack
• Verify Customer Exit copy for any discrepancies
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and relay, written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for scanning, handling small parts, and processing transactions
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working in a busy, sometimes dusty or outdoor-adjacent environment
Preferred Knowledge (Not Required)
• Familiarity with hardware, tools, lumber, or building materials
• Experience in a lumber yard or building supply environment
