Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Director, FP&A is a key leader on LucyRx's corporate finance team during a period of rapid, acquisition-driven growth. Backed by private equity firm Summit Partners, LucyRx has completed multiple acquisitions, and the FP&A team now serves as the consolidation hub for all acquired entities. The Director will own the consolidation of financial results across entities, the application of EBITDA adjustments, lender compliance reporting, and the monthly financial reporting package delivered to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board.
The Director will also lead the company's annual budget and rolling forecast processes, partner with department leaders across the organization to manage expenses, and drive the integration of monthly close and financial processes for newly acquired companies. A central priority of this role is maximizing the use of Vena, our new FP&A platform, to automate and standardize consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, PE-backed, mid-market environment and can move seamlessly between executive-level communication and detailed financial modeling. The Director will manage and develop a team of financial analysts, including a Senior Financial Analyst.

Role and Responsibilities

Consolidation & M&A Integration

  • Lead the monthly consolidation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows) across all acquired entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
  • Assist in monthly close and financial process integration of newly acquired companies, including chart of accounts mapping, reporting alignment, budget/forecast integration, and finance data warehouse consistency
  • Support M&A activity as needed, including diligence support, Quality of Earnings analysis, synergy identification and tracking, and post-acquisition net working capital assessments

Lender & Board Reporting

  • Prepare monthly lender financials and compliance certificates, including covenant leverage ratio calculations and stress testing
  • Prepare, document, and maintain EBITDA adjustments (add-backs, pro forma adjustments, and synergies) in accordance with credit agreement definitions and private equity reporting requirements
  • Produce the monthly reporting package for the ELT and the Board, with high-level, decision-ready explanations of budget, forecast, and prior-year variances, supported by trend and KPI analysis

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering

  • Own the annual budget and rolling forecast processes for a consolidated, multi-entity P&L, including models, templates, timelines, and key assumptions
  • Partner with department leaders across the organization to build and monitor their budgets, manage expenses, and explain variances, including SG&A and headcount planning
  • Analyze trends in revenue, cost of revenue, SG&A, and other key performance indicators, highlighting drivers of unexpected variances and recommending corrective actions

Systems & Process Improvement (Vena)

  • Serve as the FP&A lead for the implementation and ongoing optimization of Vena, designing templates, workflows, and data integrations to automate consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Champion adoption of Vena across Finance and business users, maximizing the platform for all FP&A functions and continuously reducing manual, Excel-only processes
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, models, and deliverables for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy, including the use of AI tools where appropriate

Leadership & Ad Hoc

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, including reviewing deliverables, setting priorities, and building bench strength
  • Support ad hoc analyses such as ROI evaluations, state compliance financial requirements, cash flow forecasting, and other strategic projects assigned by finance leadership

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, including 3+ years managing direct reports
  • Hands-on experience consolidating financials across multiple entities, including multi-entity monthly close processes and intercompany considerations
  • Working knowledge of EBITDA adjustments, credit agreements, debt covenants, and lender compliance reporting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles, flows, and processes, with the ability to partner effectively with Accounting
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with a modern FP&A/CPM platform (e.g., Vena, Adaptive, Anaplan, OneStream, Planful)
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present to executive leadership and distill complex financial data into clear, concise insights
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, prioritizing and executing multiple deliverables against hard deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, work ethic, and business partnering skills, with a proactive, team-first attitude

Preferences

  • Experience at a private equity-backed and/or highly acquisitive company, including post-merger financial integration
  • PBM, pharmacy, healthcare, or managed care industry experience
