Job description

Central Transport LLC is one of the nation's most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. We are privately owned and have been servicing manufacturing & retail companies of all sizes for almost 90 years now. With over 200 locations around the country, we pride ourselves on the continuous expansions that we have made and are still making strides to improve our operation systems to better service our wide network of clientele. For example, we have recently implemented 25 next-day hubs in our network to provide immediate, essential services for our customers overnight. We also hold the industry's most modern fleet with our tractors & trailers having an average age of 2.5 years old. Earlier this year, our business levels have reached the highest they've ever been; breaking our personal record that had been set the previous year. Shift: 10:00am - 8:00pm, Monday - Friday

Salary: $60,000-$75,000

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

· Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)

· Strong leadership qualities

· Desire to surround our customers with excellence in service

· High aptitude for technology

· The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· An Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Relaying critical information between drivers and our vendors/Terminal Managers

· Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload

· Being aware of freight that is in transit

· Assist and report issues that drivers face when they're on the road (i.e. flat tire)

· Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded

· Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards

· Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
