General Summary

As a RCM Manager, you will serve as the subject matter expert in condition monitoring (CM) technologies, providing technical leadership and guidance to the reliability team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of reliability analysts, providing guidance on best practices, methodologies, and technical skills development.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive condition monitoring programs tailored to the specific needs of our organization and equipment assets.
  • Utilize advanced nondestructive testing techniques and tools to assess the integrity and performance of critical components across multiple CM areas.
  • Interpret data from various condition monitoring sources, including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and more, to identify trends, anomalies, and potential failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance activities, optimize asset performance, and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analyses to identify underlying factors contributing to equipment failures and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives, including the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability and longevity.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in reliability engineering to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of reliability team members and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison with external vendors, contractors, and industry experts to leverage specialized expertise and resources as needed
  • Developing, qualifying, and approving procedures, establishing, and approving techniques, interpreting standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Sufficient practical background in rotating equipment and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available.
    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Proficiency in utilizing condition monitoring tools, software, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.

Work Experience

  • 4 years Hands-on experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or related field
  • 3 years’ experience with Vibration Analysis, Airborne/Structure Borne Ultrasound, and Infrared Thermography

Education, Licenses and Certification Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Nondestructive Testing ASNT Level 3 Certification in their specialty field certification or equivalent in CM area of specialty (Vibration Analysis, Airborne/Structure Borne Ultrasound, and Infrared Thermography).
  • Nondestructive Testing ASNT Level 2 in a Secondary technology certification or equivalent in CM area of specialty (Vibration Analysis, Airborne/Structure Borne Ultrasound, and Infrared Thermography).
  • Vibration Analyst International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Category 2
