Job description

Inova Physical Therapy Center-South Riding is looking for Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA ) to join our outstanding team. This position is Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday- Friday and two evening shifts per week until 7:00pm.

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 Job Responsibilities:

  • The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
  • Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
  • Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
  • Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
  • Experience: Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program, new graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Licensed: VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start
