Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, building strong rapport through professional ethics, trust, and positive communication.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to monitor their progress, address challenges, discuss upcoming appointments, and facilitate appropriate discharges.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized, person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients, respecting their unique needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and relevant treatment information, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients served by Murray Counseling Services include a diverse array of individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work with clients across the lifespan, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role is vital in providing tailored therapeutic strategies that promote healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical outpatient setting following graduation.
• Proficient in utilizing technology for documentation and communication, including experience with RMS systems, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software.
• Demonstrated experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families, focusing on evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

• Clinical experience in managing diverse mental health issues in a variety of client demographics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, enhancing the overall care environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Pimsy), enabling effective client management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

At Murray Counseling Services, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
