Position Overview

The Norton Mental Health and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy strategies tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, utilizing a variety of methodologies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery, sharing insights and strategies for optimal client outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, employing electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training, staying informed about the latest research and trends in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals and families facing diverse mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. The population served includes clients from varied backgrounds who may experience significant barriers to accessing traditional mental health services. Through your expertise, you will help them navigate their journey toward healing and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling role, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse mental health needs.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines governing mental health practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
