Position Overview

Conscious Therapy & Psychiatric Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide high-quality mental health care through telehealth services. As an LPC, you will play a vital role in facilitating recovery and resilience for our clients by delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support.

About the Organization

At Conscious Therapy & Psychiatric Center, we are a clinician-founded private practice committed to guiding individuals on their journey toward happier, more successful lives. Our belief in client accessibility, integrity, and quality care forms the bedrock of our mission. We understand that choosing a career with us goes beyond financial gain; itโ€™s about making genuine impacts, building a supportive community, and achieving both personal and professional growth.

Work Environment

Our practice operates entirely through telehealth, allowing our counselors to connect with clients from the comfort of their own homes in Waco, Texas. With flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, we prioritize work-life balance while ensuring our clients receive the support they need. We embrace technology, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR) system to streamline client management processes, optimize care delivery, and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' trauma histories and craft personalized treatment plans.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment strategies focusing on trauma recovery, leveraging interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Respond to crisis situations by offering immediate support and intervention for clients dealing with trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources for recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in mental health care.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings, participating actively in professional development activities centered around trauma-informed care.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge on the latest research, best practices, and innovations in trauma therapy to bolster your therapeutic approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals facing trauma-related challenges, supporting a diverse clientele that includes children, adolescents, and adults. Our team encourages counselors to embrace a holistic, client-centered approach that respects the unique backgrounds and stories of each patient. Our environment is designed to foster relationships that empower clients to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a non-judgmental, compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of post-licensure experience in the field of mental health counseling is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and effective communication with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A willingness to engage with couples and embrace ongoing training opportunities provided by our center.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes guaranteed pay with regular annual increases, performance-based bonuses, paid orientation, and monthly professional development. We prioritize your well-being with flexible scheduling options available from 7 AM to 10 PM seven days a week. Additional benefits include health and dental insurance, life insurance, 401(k) plan with a 3% employer match, as well as CEU reimbursement to support professional growth.
