As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will take on a variety of important responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Managing a caseload of clients, ensuring the establishment of strong rapport and positive working relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess their progress, address concerns, and plan for any necessary adjustments to treatment, including safe discharge when appropriate.
• Creating and implementing individualized, person-centered treatment plans based on each client’s unique goals and needs.
• Maintaining high-quality documentation and progress notes for each client to support ongoing care and compliance with best practices.
• Administering comprehensive intake assessments to accurately identify clients' mental health needs and develop treatment strategies.
• Participating in weekly supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and foster professional growth.
• Coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients, including participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Upholding a growth mindset in your practice, remaining open to feedback and new clinical approaches.

This role is specifically focused on serving youth clients who may be experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your expertise in working with this demographic is crucial in helping young individuals navigate their unique challenges and achieve positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
• The ability to meet the requirements for internal credentialing within relevant clinical settings.
• A minimum of one year of practical experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

• Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and diagnoses, as well as leading both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a basic proficiency in keyboarding skills to document patient interactions efficiently.
• Experience using telehealth platforms to provide therapy services effectively.
