Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed LCSW or LMFT (California) to provide individual supervision to associates and support the strengthening of our clinical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Provide structured, high-quality one-on-one supervision

  • Identify gaps in clinical services and documentation practices

  • Ensure compliance with California BBS regulations

  • Strengthen risk management and ethical standards

  • Help refine workflows and clinical systems as we scale

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentorship, systems-building, and shaping the clinical integrity of a growing group practice.

Core Responsibilities

1️⃣ Clinical Supervision & Associate Development

  • Provide weekly one-on-one supervision to associates (AMFTs, ASWs, APCCs)

  • Review and strengthen case conceptualization skills

  • Guide ethical decision-making and risk assessment

  • Support documentation quality and medical necessity

  • Identify professional growth areas and performance development needs

  • Prepare associates for long-term licensure and clinical excellence

2️⃣ Clinical Operations & Gap Assessment

  • Evaluate current clinical workflows and identify inefficiencies

  • Identify service gaps (client populations, specialty areas, documentation standards)

  • Strengthen intake processes and case assignment systems

  • Support development of structured onboarding protocols

  • Ensure consistent clinical standards across providers

3️⃣ Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to California BBS requirements

  • Maintain supervision documentation standards

  • Support HIPAA-compliant practices

  • Strengthen risk management and crisis protocols

  • Conduct documentation audits when needed

4️⃣ Insurance & Documentation Oversight

  • Ensure documentation supports medical necessity

  • Guide clinicians in writing insurance-compliant notes

  • Support billing alignment and payer standards

  • Collaborate with administrative team to reduce claim denials

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds an active California LCSW or LMFT license (in good standing)

  • Has experience supervising associates

  • Understands BBS regulations and California compliance standards

  • Has worked in or helped scale an insurance-based practice

  • Is systems-oriented and comfortable identifying operational weaknesses
