Job description

Transportation Engineer 3/Construction Project Engineer, PN 20060692

Will manage construction projects in the southern portion of District 7: Miami, Clark, Greene, &/or Montgomery Counties.

What You Will do:

  • Administer transportation projects from the preconstruction meeting through the finalization process including running meetings, writing change orders, approving materials and processing estimates for payment.
  • Work with contractors to resolve issues in the field.
  • Interpret plans for construction and ensure that the contractor is in compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Monitor maintenance of traffic operations on projects to ensure that our work zones are safe for the motoring public.
  • Supervise lower-level engineers, managers and highway technicians (inspectors) that are working on your assigned projects.
