Job description

Build Relationships. Win Projects. Grow a Market.

NSVIT is one of Southern California's fastest-growing low voltage systems integrators, delivering complex technology infrastructure for commercial, industrial, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, and large-scale distribution facilities.

We specialize in designing and installing enterprise-grade technology solutions including:

  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance (CCTV)
  • Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber)
  • Wireless Networks
  • Audio/Visual Systems
  • Public Safety DAS / ERRCS
  • Intercom & Smart Building Technologies

As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who already understands the commercial construction industry and has an established network of relationships that can generate new business.

This is not an entry-level sales position.

We're looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, building long-term partnerships, and winning projects ranging from tens of thousands to several million dollars.

What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for developing and growing new business throughout Southern California by building relationships with:

  • General Contractors
  • Commercial Developers
  • Multifamily Owners & Operators
  • Property Management Companies
  • Architects
  • Electrical Contractors
  • Consultants
  • End Users
  • Healthcare Facilities
  • Manufacturing & Industrial Clients

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new customer relationships.
  • Generate opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision makers.
  • Identify projects in early planning stages.
  • Coordinate with estimating and operations to develop winning proposals.
  • Present NSVIT's capabilities and technical solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close profitable opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM software.
  • Consistently achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Represent NSVIT with professionalism throughout every stage of the customer relationship.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who brings both industry knowledge and business development experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of successful business development or sales experience within commercial construction, low voltage, security integration, electrical contracting, or telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business—not simply managing existing accounts.
  • Existing relationships throughout the Southern California construction market.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and identify project opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Preferred Experience

Experience selling one or more of the following:

  • Access Control
  • CCTV
  • Structured Cabling
  • Fiber Optics
  • Public Safety DAS / ERRCS
  • Wireless Infrastructure
  • Audio Visual Systems
  • Smart Building Technologies

At NSVIT, you'll sell solutions backed by an experienced operations team that consistently delivers high-quality projects.

We invest heavily in our employees, technology, and customer relationships.

You'll have direct access to leadership, experienced project managers, engineering resources, estimating support, and installation teams that help turn opportunities into successful projects.

Our customers stay with us because we focus on quality, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships—not simply being the lowest bidder.

We offer a compensation package designed to attract experienced, high-performing professionals.

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Uncapped Commission Program
  • Performance Bonuses
  • Auto Allowance or Mileage Reimbursement
  • Company Laptop & Mobile Phone
  • 401(k)
  • Paid Vacation
  • Paid Holidays
  • Ongoing Professional Development
  • Opportunity for Advancement

If you're an experienced business development professional ready to grow with a company that values relationships, integrity, and execution, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape the next chapter of NSVIT's growth.
