Job description

SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Looking for a senior level Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps, Cert DevOps and creating digital technology transformations. Someone with a strong software engineering background responsible for helping teams across the organization smoothly adopt the Avionics Common Development Environment.
This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
What You Will Do:
• You will create and deploy adoption strategies for helping teams to efficiently adopt our common development environment.
• You will integrated with adopting teams to provide first class adoption support.
• You will create and manage adoption roadmaps and plans.
• You will execute adoption plans and roadmaps.
• You will set-up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
• You will work across teams and departments to enable rapid onboarding of the Cert DevOps technology.
• You will mentor, train and onboard teammates.
• You will be expected to be a self-starter, able to multitask and manage unplanned events.
• You will use your organizational skills to keep track of everything.
• You will use your effective communication skills to keep engineering peers, leadership and customers up to date.
• You will use your problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills to support the team mission.
Education and Experience You Must Have:
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 4-5 years prior relevant experience
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Practical experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of DO-178 certification.
• Practical experience with industry known software development patterns.
• Practical experience with Avionics Software Development.
• Experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
• Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
• Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.
