Riverside Legal Aid (RLA) is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney to join our team serving low-income residents throughout Riverside County. This position is not assigned to a specific program and may provide legal services in a variety of civil legal matters depending on organizational needs. 
Riverside Legal Aid is a nonprofit legal services organization dedicated to increasing access to justice for low-income individuals and families. RLA provides legal assistance through direct representation, limited-scope services, legal clinics, community education, and outreach programs. 
Position Responsibilities
The Staff Attorney will provide direct legal services to eligible clients, including client consultations, legal advice, document preparation, negotiations, and court appearances. The attorney may assist clients in a variety of civil legal matters and will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, community partners, and support staff to provide high-quality legal services.
Additional responsibilities may include participation in legal clinics, community outreach events, Know Your Rights presentations, and other activities that support Riverside Legal Aid's mission. 
Qualifications
• J.D. degree and active membership in the State Bar of California in good standing.
 • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
 • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to low-income members of the community.
 • Valid California Driver's License and willingness to perform required travel throughout Riverside County.
 • Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred. 
Compensation and Benefits
• $81,000 annual salary.
 • Medical, dental, and vision insurance provided at no cost to the employee.
 • 4 weeks accrued paid vacation and 2 weeks of accrued sick leave.
 • 3% employer matching 401(k).
 • Mileage reimbursement for required travel, including court appearances.
 • Reimbursement of State Bar dues and MCLE fees.
Free MCLE provided.
