Locums | OB/GYN Hospitalist | Tucson, AZ (AZ license required)Why This Role

  • High-volume OB center (~5,000-6,000 deliveries/year) — busy, in-house hospitalist coverage
  • No standalone call — scheduled in-house shifts
  • Fast credentialing: ~30 days
  • Strong support: 15-20 RNs, plus employed hospitalists, community OB/GYNs, MFM groups, and CNM team
  • Multiple openings (6 providers needed)
  • Assignment Details
  • Start: June 1, 2026, ongoing
  • Schedule: In-house OB hospitalist coverage, 1900-0700 night shifts
  • Commitment: roughly 5 shifts/month
  • Volume: 6-24 patients/shift; ~5,000-6,000 deliveries/year
  • Setting: Inpatient + outpatient, 24 beds, Level 4 trauma
  • EMR: Epic
  • Credentialing: ~30 days
  • Nearest airport: Tucson International

  • Full-scope OB: low- and high-risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound (Level I), routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, c-section, breech, multiples, abruptions, VBAC), 3rd/4th degree laceration repair, c-section decision-making
  • Preferred: OB ultrasound performance/interpretation, Level II ultrasound, low forceps, surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic, operative/major)
