Overview
Security Guard
Part-Time, Monday and Wednesday Evenings
Security Guard's primary responsibilities are to carry out tasks that provide safety and security to the campus associates, students, and guests. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
  • Ensure students and guests have proper credentials for accessing buildings to include issuing guest badges
  • Directs guests to the front desk or Dental Hygiene Clinic
  • Observe premises for unwelcome visitors
  • Opens building in the morning
  • Keeps a daily security log and completes incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
  • Monitor alarms and security cameras
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly
  • Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly including alerting the Campus President of security issues
  • Interacts with parking lot security managed by landlord on potential issues
  • Stays on premises until evening guard arrives for transition
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years as a security guard
  • Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
  • Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
