Parking Lot Security Guard

FAST PARK & RELAX

Address: 2300 Spirit of Texas Drive, Del Valle, TX 78617

Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Shift: Overnight
Workdays: Thursday – Monday

$18.00/hour to start (40 hours per week guaranteed)

Position Summary

FAST PARK & RELAX is seeking a reliable and professional Parking Lot Security Guard to help ensure the safety and security of our parking facility, customers, vehicles, and employees during overnight operations. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible security presence, provide exceptional customer service, monitor facility activity, and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the parking lot and surrounding areas to deter criminal activity and maintain a safe environment.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized vehicles and individuals enter restricted areas.
  • Enforce parking policies and regulations, including addressing unauthorized parking, expired permits, and other violations.
  • Provide courteous assistance to customers, including directions, parking guidance, and basic support for minor vehicle issues such as jump starts.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to accidents, thefts, disturbances, suspicious activity, and other incidents; contact emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of vehicle activity, incidents, security observations, and daily operations.
  • Monitor and operate security equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and communication devices.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security risks to management.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement, emergency responders, and management as needed.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous security, parking, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain alert, professional, and responsive during overnight hours.
  • Basic computer and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods of time.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record preferred.

Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:

- Experience in enforcing parking regulations and access control procedures.
