Job description

About Loop

Loop is an agentic restaurant intelligence software that augments the back office of restaurant chains by automating workflows and delivering intelligence across the finance, operations and marketing functions. Loop deploys AI agents built by our in-house team of AI engineers, strategists and subject matter experts into restaurant brands - bringing industry best practices in handling complex internal functions. We have offices in San Francisco, New York, Tampa and India.

Loop is one of the fastest growing restaurant technology companies powering a few billion dollars in revenue and growing to serve 10K+ restaurants within 3 years across some of the most recognizable brands of the USA, helping them grow their topline & bottomline.

Loop has built by a world class team of entrepreneurs, operators, leaders and AI engineers from different industries, ranging from cutting edge big-tech, management consulting, investment banking among others across companies like Uber, Google, Amazon, McKinsey and others.

About the Role

Finance is one of the few functions that touches every meaningful decision a company makes.

Hiring. Product investment. Pricing. Expansion. Fundraising. Cash management. Every one of them ultimately becomes a finance decision.

As Vice President of Finance, you'll build the financial operating system that helps guide Loop through its next stage of growth. This isn't about reporting what happened last month. It's about helping determine what happens over the next three years.

You'll work directly alongside the founders, shaping company strategy through financial insight, commercial thinking and disciplined execution. You'll build the operating model, own the planning cadence, prepare the board materials, support investor conversations and ensure every major decision is grounded in robust financial analysis.

This is a builder's role.

You won't inherit a large finance organisation. You'll build the operating model yourself. You'll create the first board packs yourself. You'll own the forecasting process yourself. You'll establish the systems, discipline and financial infrastructure that will support the business as it scales.

The right person enjoys moving effortlessly between strategy and execution-comfortable presenting to investors in the morning, building a three-statement model after lunch, and partnering with Product, Sales or Engineering before the day ends.

If you're looking to hide behind spreadsheets, this isn't the role.

If you want to become one of the key people helping build an iconic AI company from the inside, we'd love to speak with you.

Responsibilities Build Loop's Financial Operating System
  • Own the financial architecture of the business.

  • Build the models, planning processes and operating cadence that help leadership make faster, smarter decisions.

  • Design finance to scale long before it has to.

Own Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.

  • Build integrated operating models covering revenue, hiring, burn, runway, headcount, infrastructure investment and multiple growth scenarios.

  • Turn financial planning into one of the company's competitive advantages.

Be the Founders' Strategic Finance Partner
  • Work directly with the founders on the company's biggest decisions.

  • Challenge assumptions and pressure-test investment decisions.

  • Provide financial clarity when the path forward isn't obvious.

  • Help leadership understand not only what the numbers say-but what they mean.

Lead Board & Investor Finance
  • Own every financial interaction with the Board and investors.

  • Prepare board packs that tell a clear story rather than simply reporting numbers.

  • Develop investor presentations.

  • Support fundraising, due diligence and financial requests from existing and prospective investors.

  • Help the business communicate confidence through financial discipline.

Own Cash & Capital
  • Manage the company's cash with founder-level ownership.

  • Build sophisticated cash flow forecasts.

  • Model fundraising scenarios.

  • Monitor burn multiple, runway, hiring capacity and investment priorities.

  • Help leadership understand exactly how today's decisions affect tomorrow's opportunities.

Build Commercial Finance
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations and Engineering.

  • Evaluate pricing strategy and commercial opportunities.

  • Analyse customer profitability and unit economics.

  • Develop dashboards that move beyond reporting into decision-making.

  • Help every function understand how financial performance connects to operational performance.

Build Scalable Finance Operations
  • Own accounting oversight, payroll, reporting, controls and governance.

  • Strengthen systems, automate reporting and improve operational efficiency.

  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banking partners and external providers.

  • Ensure the business remains audit-ready as it scales.

Build the Future Finance Team
  • Begin as a highly hands-on individual contributor.

  • Build the finance function deliberately as the business grows.

  • Hire, mentor and develop exceptional finance talent over time.

  • Create a culture of ownership, commercial thinking and operational excellence.

Who You Are

You are most likely a strong candidate for this role if you:

  • Have 10+ years of finance experience within high-growth venture-backed technology companies.

  • Have helped build finance inside a Series A, B or C business rather than simply operating inside a mature organisation.

  • Have personally built forecasting models, board packs and financial plans-not simply reviewed work prepared by large teams.

  • Have supported fundraising, investor diligence or venture capital reporting.

  • Have significant experience with FP&A, financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.

  • Think commercially before you think technically. You understand that finance exists to help the business make better decisions.

  • Have worked directly with founders or executive leadership where finance was part of every major strategic discussion.

  • Can explain complex financial concepts simply and influence leaders who don't come from finance backgrounds.

  • Enjoy solving ambiguous problems where there isn't a textbook answer.

  • Thrive operating with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy.

  • Demonstrate Loop's cultural defaults: radical ownership, customer obsession, intellectual honesty, urgency, curiosity and the discipline to execute.

Preferred Spikes

Having one or more of the following makes you a preferred candidate, in addition to the above:

  • You've helped scale a venture-backed business through multiple funding rounds.

  • You've built board reporting that investors genuinely looked forward to reading because it explained the business-not just the numbers.

  • You've partnered directly with CEOs or founders on company strategy, capital allocation and long-term planning.

  • You've built finance functions from the ground up, selecting systems, establishing reporting rhythms and creating scalable processes.

  • You understand SaaS, AI or enterprise software economics, including ARR, gross margin, retention, customer acquisition economics and unit economics.

  • You've implemented ERP or FP&A platforms such as NetSuite, Pigment, Mosaic, Anaplan or similar.

  • You hold a CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA or MBA, although outstanding operating experience matters more than credentials.
